ASCOM Driver failed and RA drifts

I was Imaging the Iris nebula last night and the ASCOM driver failed in PHD2. It wasn’t settling from a dither so I checked PHD2 and notice RA was drifting.

I also tried to do a Recalibration and it said it wasn’t able to make sufficient RA. I had to quit PHD2 and delete the calibration and once it recalibrated it worked all night!

Here is a snippet from the log files. I know I am attaching it but it may help:

[05/17/21 23:50:07.795][DEBUG][PHD2 Listener Thread][SQ;] Unknown object from PHD2: {“Event”:“Alert”,“Timestamp”:1621306207.764,“Host”:“DESKTOP-8STRK0S”,“Inst”:1,“Msg”:“PHD2 is not able to make sufficient corrections in RA. Check for cable snags, try re-doing your calibration, and check for problems with the mount mechanics.”,“Type”:“warning”}
[05/17/21 23:50:07.795][DEBUG][PHD2 Listener Thread][SQ;] Unknown object from PHD2: {“Event”:“Alert”,“Timestamp”:1621306207.770,“Host”:“DESKTOP-8STRK0S”,“Inst”:1,“Msg”:“ASCOM driver failed checking for slewing, see the debug log for more information.”,“Type”:“warning”}

A little back story, I have had issues with the Mount where on the MC board one of the chips failed. Ordered a new chip and had it resoldered. Its been working perfectly! I generally have no issues at all anymore. This only happens rarely.

Thanks

Jeff
