I was photographing M31 last night. I took 8 subs of 180 seconds each. Here is a screen shot while i was imaging

As I am not able to find the exposures in the directory shown, would be obliged for any advise about how to locate these.

looks like they should be in E:\Astro Shots\Light if you’re not finding them there then we’d need a log to see what might have gone wrong.

Found them. I was thinking the folder name would start with M31. My mistake, apologies!

It can, but that’s not how you have the naming setup. If you look at the naming pattern below the path you can change that, using the keys outlined in the legend, to output the folder and file naming as you like.
