Facility to switch a power supply

Hi Is it possible to switch on/off the power supply to equipment at sequence start/ end? I can do the electronics bit with a MOSFET if I can get 5v logic to it.

I’m working on a remote observatory which uses 12V batteries as the source of power. The camera in particular uses a lot of current, so I’d like to be able to switch it, especially off at the end of a sequence.

Is this possible in SGP? I’ll also check the availbility of an ASCOM switch driver in case SGP can connect to it.

I checked the SGP help file, but only found mentions of safety switches.

Hello, you can launch a script of your own at the end of sequence
Click on sequence settings icon

SGP sends me an SMS notification when sequence ends.

thanks for this. I read the help link and it says the script runs before gear is disconnected. Really I need to power off after the disconnection.

right - just seen switches in the ONLINE help file. I think this is what I want. I looked in my V4 helpfile and ‘switches’ does not appear. Perhaps it would be good to keep the help file up to date by using a link to the web help from SGP. Just a thought.
