Framing and Mosaic and Scope change

I am changing out my widefield scope and have a few projects that are large mosaics from 2015. After applying the new profile to the previous mosaic, I assume that I will be able to plate solve and slew to the coordinates for each target but that the overlap will likely be larger (new scope has slightly larger FOV). Is this correct?

I guess that depends on how you define “larger”. The overlap is relative to the size of your chip. So if you put in 20% overlap that means that you have 20% of your chip that is overlapped. For a larger FOV this does mean more sky angle is overlapping but it’s still just 20% of your chip.

Hope that helps.
