Has there been any discussion on a web dashboard for SGP?

Has there been discussion? Yes. Ken and Jared have both said, essentially, that they desire that control be handled through the UI, rather than the API :

It seems unfinished because we have never intended on extending it to our users. What exists now has always been for partner integrations (using gear that SGPro owns). Im not implying that our thoughts never change, but it has always been our philosophy, for the niche we were trying to fill, that, if an API is a very requested feature, we have failed to provide some sort of automation within the application itself. These days… since we have less time to work on SGPro (in general), it is certainly possible that we may shift our stance here… Just a little information on why the API seems half baked.

Now, FWIW, there’s “enough” in the existing API to at least present a dashboard of sorts, if you want to have a sort of “quick glance” at what SGP is doing. I rigged something up a couple years ago that includes a “module” with some basic SGP status info (Connected to simulators here to demonstrate):

The API DOES have a few endpoints for control…you can connect and disconnect devices, do some guider stuff, slew and park a scope, solve images, etc. So there’s certainly enough there to provide some interactivity, and extend beyond the “quick status glance” I’ve shown here. I don’t think there’s really enough there to present a fully functional web control interface, however.
