I’m thinking of buying the QHY22 version - the web shows a wide range of dark currents and read noise for this sensor and I suspect some are mistakes in the spec sheet. Is there a QHY22 / QSI660 / Atik 460 user out there who can help me?
The only real way to tell is to get my hands on a pair of uncalibrated bias, dark (~600s) and flat frames.
Can anyone help and share some FITS? I can create a dropbox for you to pop them into.
Yeah - I just sold a QSI683 and was going to buy a 1-inch -ish mono sensor - based on ICX694, IMX183 or MN34230. It is for narrowband use - so long exposures are the norm.
I found another SGP member, Jon Rista, did some interesting comparisons on the CMOS sensors. It is a really interesting mixture of attributes that do not produce a clear cut winner but rather point to some being better at NB than others.
