Know what sucks? Zero length files :-)

Know what really sucks? Windows happily writing zero-length files (because disk full) without error/notification. Sequence continued to write zero length files for an hour. Only sign of trouble was when autofocus routine started to fail (ie. bad HFR value two times in a row).

Spent a lot of time trying to “fix” the autofocus issue before I finally noticed the drive was full .

I guess SGP can’t handle better because Windows is not responding appropriately to SGP? Or is there some way SGP could compensate for Window’s shortcomings in such situations?

It’s certainly possible we can handle this better, but I’m not certain and it’s difficult to simulate. Any chance you still have logs from that session so we can see how Windows behaves in that scenario?
