Logs for plate solving issues

here are the logs from an issue that i was having during plate solving. the previous post that i made was titled “plate solving for an hour? WTF”

Aprox time of issue: 20.02.19 at from about 7-9 i was having issues plate solving.

thanks!! curious to know what you think. please let me know what you discover.

I looked through the logs and everything seems OK. I can’t remember what the error tolerance for DEC is (based on search regions), but the actual position differs from the reported position by about a minute. I think PS2 should be able to work with that, but I’m unsure. I would suggest:

  • Trying ASTAP
  • Saving the plate frame that PS2 fails on and posting it (right click -> Save As FITS)
  • Click “Help -> Open Log Folder”. Find “PlateSolve2.ini” and delete it. Go to PlateSolve2 settings again (recreates the ini file you deleted). Reset your catalog directories. Try again
