Losing a long sub in the last few secs .

I appreciate this has been raised in the past.
Recently there was a case of a 30 min OIII sub lost in the last 5 seconds due to a loss of the guide star.
This is not an everyday occurrence but with a long NB sub, it hurts.
Would it not be possible to offer the user an option such as the following?

SGP: “Something terrible has happened!”

Instead of an immediate abort, offer the user the option:

“Complete the current exposure?” or
“Abort immediately and try to resume?”

Plus one on this request. This has happened to me more than once or twice living in “cloud-opolis”!
