During plate solve centering I sometimes get 4mm star trails in the final shot, during the confirmation of position (final stage). However plate solve normally succeeds in spite of these trails… My question is, can the solve be accurate and relied upon when these trails are present? I use Elbrus with a 5 second exposure with lum.
Is there an adjustment that can be made to allow the mount to settle before exposure is taken during the plate solve centering?
