Quick question re manual rotator

Astometry.net says my previous image is oriented 6.6 degrees east of north. Does that mean I set the rotator for 6.6 degrees? Just want to be sure a.net and SGP interpret “east of north” the same way.

Kevin

The best rule of thumb is use SGPro to solve. The angle presented in the solve will be the same as the camera rotation angle you are after.

Yes! In fact a.net is 180 degrees off what I’m seeing in SGP. SGP says 187, a.net says 7. Thanks Ken.

For better or worse, we use Pinpoint as our standard. If the angle from a solver does not match Pinpoint’s it gets adjusted inside SGPro until it does.
