SGP 2.4.2.4 Nikon D810A not working

Downloaded SGP 2.4.2.4,
one cannot select the D810A in the list so I used auto connect …
Both my D600 and D810A error out with auto connect, claiming DLL is missing;
MSVCP110.dll is missing
I installed the framework from MS site, still same error …
The D600 works when I select it directly from the list, but I cannot select the D810A (D810 does not work either)
Not much in the log file, here the corresponding lines and then a quit;

OK, well, we will keep trying. Not having an 810A for us to try with makes it harder. You should be able to select the 810. The 810 is supposed to use maid file 14 (which you can see we tried, but it failed_. You might try selecting D810 directly.

as mentioned I tried selecting the D810, no succes, the id string will be different I guess …

double checked, selecting D810 does not work, it will only try type 14, according to the log …

Digicamcontrol a freeware works … it reports the cam as a D810A even before the official sdks was out.

So after reading on another forum that Nikon camera did not connect on USB2, I connected my camera directly on my USB3 port. So now the camera connects, but upon connection it claims the Nikon does not support BULB more and it also sometimes throws up another dialog …
In any case trying to take one frame and focus picture end up in an endless loop.
Here the log file;

/Yves

The D810A and D810 should both be in the allowed list for bulb. I’ll double check this evening.

Thanks,
Jared

New 2.4.2.6 still same issue, now it does not report the max 30 SEC bulb error,
but it still claims some unsupported iso value’s.
So it connects, but taking a single exposure in the frame and focus mode will endless loop and will never initiate the first or single exposure … same on the camera, it goes to PC mode and endless shows a progress bar moving …
BYN works in the same camera mode …
Nothing new in the logs, so will not upload.

/Yves

This is true. We have made no effort to troubleshoot this issue yet.

I do not know if the changes for Nikon cameras in 2.4.3.4 will make any difference with the D810A, but you are welcome to try them. Make sure to go into settings and check “Always use bulb mode”
