I just had a “eyeball transplant” from a Nightscape 8300 to a SBIG STF 8300. It’s running great, but I cannot get a color download in either SGP or The Sky X. The camera takes both RAW and FITS using Maxim DL. So I know that the camera works. I have the same question with the Software Bisque forum, but no results.
I am hoping that there is someone who might know of a setting that allows for color.
The color is there but not viewable in SGP as it isn’t debayered. In SkyX there is an option in the image viewer window (a pulldown menu along the bottom) where you can choose heuristic display mode and it will debayer the image.
I’ve done that, but I still do not get color. However using the Lit Imaging interface and using debayer, I will get a color image. I don’t know if SGP is similiar.
