After speaking with Terry Plat, he preferred that anyone experiencing the glows contact SX customer service. There is an easy hardware fix that is specific to SX cameras only. I just want to say, Terry and SX have been awesome in responding to my questions.
Just for the record, I am seriously impressed with this camera. I had a few hours of clear sky last night to test it out. I can’t believe how much more sensitive and clean this camera is than my KAF-8300 camera.
Here’s an HA image of IC410 with just 1hr of integration time, during a rather bright moon (nevermind the registration errors!):
And here’s an OIII image with just two hours integration - to get a result like this with my STF-8300 would have taken much more exposure and getting creative with stretching (tone mapping etc).
These images were not calibrated at all (no darks, flats or bias)!
Looks great Joel. I assume these were taken after fixing the glows from your camera because I can’t see the glows from your images. Sony CCDs are awesome.

Yes, after the fix. The Ha were 20min and the OIII was 30min subs.
