New to astrophotography, photography in general. I live off grid on the boarder of the Gifford Pinchot and Mt. St. Helen’s with my husband and our two dogs. I have always loved the forest and the sky out here (now the trees a little less when they’re blocking a shot ) and purchased a very basic telescope for my husband a year back so he could watch the very strange things that fly near the mountain
. Never turning away from a challenge, two months ago when I bought a camera to learn photography as a new hobby, I jumped headfirst into astrophotography becoming mildly obsessed and much poorer by the day!
We’re blessed to have the core arcing directly over our property down into our backyard. My learning so far has been nebulae and star clusters , Cygnus overhead, Andromeda and M101 the Pinwheel Galaxy I think?
The entire process from start to finish is moderately intimidating, but I’m to discover this new passion!
I look forward to learning more from the community, and giving my husband his basic telescope back when I upgrade
