I just had a chance to try the software binning for auto focus. I have a D5100 and an AT8RC. It certainly looked very good,
I also have smart focus turned off because of the central obstruction in my AT8RC. So, I was wondering if the software changes to made for the artificial binning in any way change the nature of the donut stars, so I could use smart focus? Thanks
