Problems controlling the dome. Rotator works if shutter controller is not powered up.
If I power up shutter control - the rotator and shutter seem to conflict in SGP? Rotator sent “home” it finds home and stops. (SGP reports it’s… finding home… but never does). IF shutter power is on. If shutter is off, rotator works fine. I don’t know of any way to test nexdome rotator and shutter door systems outside of SGP.
Here’s the story. 1. rotator worked. 2. Shutter came, I installed but found rotator had no Xbee. 3. Babak said send in your dome control box, I’ll swap with newer model and xbee. (did). 4. Got it back - was erratic, and broke micro usb in dinking around with it. 5. ordered new arduino, installed - uploaded… (has this problem). 6. Arduino arrived from Babak (he installed code - I swapped boards and (same problems). RESULTS. Dome rotator works fine if shutter system is off. The two conflict in SGP when both are on. - shutter remote works if I do it first (without the rotator). Rotator works “once” after a reboot if shutter is on. It will rotate one time then not. BUT will home… (though SGP says finding home after it has found home and stopped… software doesn’t know it found home).
Frustrating - I’ve spent 30-40 hours working on this with no solution.
