Hello.
Upon upgrading to version 3 I reported that at launch, SGP seems to want to go online and check for any updates. On computers that I use to control the system I am usually not online and the activity generates an error message. On a computer with a smaller display, such as Surface, the dialog will hid behind the splash screen and is impossible to deactivate, therefore the waiting SGP appears to be locked up/frozen.
Has this been evaluated by the developers?
