Anyone here using Celestron's CWPI interface for CGX mounts?

Celestron CGX-L mount.

Ive been having a few issues with my mount control lately. In a nutshell the hand controller keeps changing the Meridian preferences on its own.

So I have been thinking about giving Celestron’s CWPI interface for scope control via SGP eliminating the hand controller.

Was wondering if anyone here might already be using this combination. I have questions like how does it handle solve and synch? Meridian flips? Side of pier reporting? etc.

Right now I just switch on the mount and select “Last alignment” then do a quick solve and synch through SGP and off I go. (Mount is ‘stored’ and not moved from last session).

So any feed back is appreciated!

Not to bump my own thread but since no feedback…

Since I just cannot get SGP and ASCOM unified drivers to work correctly, I downloaded and installed CPWI.

It seems to work fine, at least it (CPWI) and SGP both connect to the mount and the mount can be slewed etc through the software I guess it’s working.

What I do not know will a ‘solve and synch’ work the same as it used to with ASCOM?

It will be a few days/nights till I get to field test this new configuration.
