APPC-PRO CW Up question

Jared,

I’m using APCC-PRO with a Mach2GTO. My question is regarding SGP compatibility with APCC’s CW up slews on both the east and west sides of the mount. I have the meridian model built such that APCC will perform both east and west CW up slews. The benefit, of course, is no meridian flips for the vast majority of positions.

I asked Ray Gralak if turning off SGP’s meridian flip features was sufficient to safely use APPC east and west CW slews with SGP. He suggested I asked you guys. He was concerned that SGP perhaps always expects the pier side to match what would normally be the case, which is not CW up. If I turn off all scope parking, tracking, and meridian options in SGP and let APPC handle meridian and horizon limits, would you say it’s safe to use SGP in this manner, or are there pitfalls I’m not seeing?

Thanks,
Eric
