ASI 183 MC Pro

I am having trouble after the upgrade with my ASI 183MC Pro only taking pictures in greyscale. Have I over looked a setting, or do I need to do something to fix this?

Sean

SGP does not and has not ever debayered images for display. If you’re looking at them in SGP they will be grayscale but the color data is there. We just don’t debayer the images for display purposes. Your image processing application can debayer them.

Thanks for the insight. Some how I have changed a setting somewhere that does this. I have used both Gimp and DSS and end up with B&W (greyscale ) photos.

I love how frustrating this hobby is!!

Are you binning the images? That will destroy the color matrix … double check that they’re 1x1. Might also want to check the camera settings in the driver and see if there is a setting there that could cause this. But the only thing in SGP would be the binning. Other than that it’s just raw bytes into the FIT.

Jared

I will, thank you for the help.

I figured out there was a setting in DSS I had messed up.

I had a great night imaging with SGP. Thanks for this program, Once I got it all set up, it works!!

This was the take from that night…
