Astrometric Dome Control

I am using Astrometric Dome Control to run my Dome. Is is a widely used off the shelf controller to sync domes and Mounts. It works very well stand alone and in NINA. I keep getting an error message in SGP that the program expects a Non Zero Value for the Observatory set up. I also goes on to tell me that SGP is pulling all its information from Astrometric Dome Control. I’m at a loss as to what to do next.

I’m not familiar with this controller. But SGP is looking for details to calculate the dome position based on the scope.

Does your dome controller do this work for you (by connecting to the telescope or something else)? You mention “stand alone” so I’m guessing the controller is doing a lot of what SGP is trying to do for you. If that’s the case you probably just want to tell SGP that you have a “Roll Off Roof” so SGP is only opening or closing it and not trying to slave the 2 together. Or just enter 1 for the Radius and leave everything else at 0 and don’t slave the obs to the telescope.

It does connect to the telescope. I tried eliminating the observatory as a piece of equipment but SGP still seems to know its there. I will try you suggestion to tell SGP it is a roll off. Thank you for getting back to me.

Also I filled in all the dialog boxes with the corresponding value from my controller. One thought I have, does SGP not recognize `negative values?

It only allows negatives where applicable. North, East, Vertical should all support negative numbers.

You will need to unselect it from the equipment dropdown and also disable any observatory specific values that would require an observatory (basically all the values on the left of the panel above)
