Auto flats with stars

I’ve been using the auto flats (sky flats) and have noticed there are a few stars in some of the images.

I was just wondering if anyone knows if they will affect the calibration and overall appearance of the final image?

I’m afraid, I don’t know the answer to your actual question here, but I am curious what “ending” method you used for AutoFlats and whether or not it was dusk or a time you selected. If it was dusk, it may indicate that the time for dusk needs to be tweaked a bit.

I was using Dawn flats at SGP selected time. I’m not sure what you mean by “ending” method.

Ah, in this case it would be “starting method” and it seems like it may be a tad too early. I am referring to this:

and whether you selected “dawn” or a custom time. I’ll see about tweaking that, but this value will not be accurate for everyone. In the meantime, you can use the offset to help prevent it in the future.

Ahhh, okay.
I can check the last set of flats and see when the stars disappear and then adjust the start time offset. My end method is set to “When it’s too light”.
I can also just add more flats to the routine and discard the ones with the stars.

Thank you for the help.
Harvey.

Just an update. I checked my last set of flats and the filters in PI removes the stars from the flat images.
