Been having this issue with SGP since day 1 unfortunately, I can’t wrap my head around what’s going wrong. AutoFlats seems to work fine when I use it manually, but if I try to schedule it as part of my sequence I get the titular error when starting up a sequence. I have confirmed that it’s not just a false alert, it really doesn’t capture any flats before or after my sequence.
I’ve made sure (by clicking on the preview autoflats sequence option on the scheduler page) that it really does show events generated for autoflats, it just never actually executes anything. I’ve scoured every setting and help manual page I can think of, but nothing I do clears the error or gets me automatic flats.
Any idea of what’s going on?

Ignore the autoflats run near the end scheduled for tonight, that’s a manual run.
Apologies… I seem to have missed this support request. My initial guess is that you are using the option to automatically sync progress of the requested AutoFlats with the disk (previously saved flat images for specific targets). This would not show in a preview because it is a thing that can be calculated until it runs.
If you uncheck this, AutoFlats will capture new flat frames again according to the sequence’s progress only. When it’s checked, the progress of AutoFlats is impervious to sequence reset.
Hello! I was indeed using that option and have since turned it off, but unfortunately the warning about no incomplete events to capture is still present. I have tried it with and without manually added flat events in my sequence just to be 100% sure, the warning appears no matter what.
This is the first night of good weather I’ve had in a bit, I’ll see if dawn autoflats capture this morning or not. Thank you!
Unfortunately after reviewing in the morning, it looks like the dialog was true and it did not actually capture any flats. Oddly it seemed stuck waiting for my mount to stop moving, even though it was still pointing at my last target. I’ll try again tonight with both dawn sky flats and dusk sky flats For what it’s worth, below is my current sequence and autoflats scheduler configuration.
That looks correct to me. If it stalled or hung whilst awaiting dawn, it would be useful to see logs showing the behavior so we can see what it was waiting for, etc… The way you attached logs above is fine, but SGPro also has a built-in log reporting tool if you’d like.
I checked the telescope this morning, everything else went flawlessly (including the meridian flip, which is FANTASTIC!) but unfortunately no flats were captured this time around. I’ll have SGP upload the logs, and for completeness I’m also including the sequence I was running and my equipment profile (hopefully it helps)/
Attaching logs using SGP’s built in tool as described above. The last two nights should demonstrate the issue; imaging ends for me at 5:56AM local time.
Sorry for the delay here. This is definitely a bug… I am unsure how it happens as of this moment but I’ll figure it out. I think I am going to remove the sync progress with disk too.
The issue is that AutoFlats was not accounting for a condition where the Flats Calibration Wizard had not been run. After a Flats cal run, for the filters calibrated, SGPro, for the current sequence, will set up flat frame collection parameters. In this case, it has not been run for the current sequence and, because of this, the default number of flat frames for your filters are 0. This, of course, results in a “no remaining work” scenario. In the 4.5 beta, I have addressed the issue and the AutoFlats sequence generator accounts for this condition and properly uses the default frames specified in the Capture Properties section.
