I use 9 points and that gives more of a ‘U’ than a ‘V’, try 9 it may be a little more accurate as SGP has more data to work with.

Well as it seems to be working ok, yes keep the step size the same. It’s not a good idea to change too many settings in one go anyway, as if something goes wrong, you won’t know what change upset it!
