Autofocus Settings for Nikon D800E mod

Greeting,

Would anyone please teach me the proper auto focus settings with a Nikon D800E mod? I tried different sets of AF binning, exposure time, ISO as well as step size but never got a V-curve upon hundred attempts. I am using a Pegasus Astro Focus Controller with a WO Star 71-II.

Your help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Thank you so much, Mark! Will try AF again by increasing the step size. It is so cloudy tonight, hope it goes better this weekend.
