Hi, I was trying to image NGC1365 last night, and so after a few attempts at solving using PlateSolve2 (had to abort twice I think) then blind solving I thought I had this one in the bag! Issue is that after blind solving and sync, then using platesolve2 to slew to the target I end up with NGC1460.
Looking at the Logfile Ln 1897 the blind solver sync’d the scope at RA 3.98 DEC -37.07. Then using Platesolver2 requested SGP to centre on NGC 1365, this is reported at Ln 2068 RA 3.76 DEC -36.66 (very close to NGC1460)
FITS header info for my target is at Ln2597, clearly the wrong coord.
Am I doing something wrong here or could it be something to do with the scope NB: I did not do an initial sync at the scope as I find, almost always, the solver is able to get onto target.
Thanks
John
