Camera cooling with Hyperstar and SnapCap

I recently added an Atik Horizon II to my kit to operate on my C11 with Hyperstar and SnapCap. I was previously using a Canon 600d so cooling wasn’t a consideration. It occurred to me that when the mount slews to a target and begins its cooling run with the SnapCap still in the closed position the expelled heat would be trapped inside the dew shield area. I have tested cooling with both the SnapCap closed and open and the camera seems to cool more quickly with the SnapCap open.

Would it be possible to add a command to open the SnapCap when a camera begins its cooling cycle? Perhaps it could be selectable in the Other tab in the Control Panel as a Flat Box option? This would be similar to the command to open the SnapCap before imaging begins.

Many thanks,

Gord
