Can't Couple SGP and PHD2

I open SGP first and connect the SBIG camera (STXL 11002). I then use the control panel to set the guide chip to internal. Then I open PHD2 and select SGP API Guider as the camera and connect it. The PHD2 server is checked. Then I try looping in PHD2. This generates an error msg saying that the ASCOM.SGP_API_Guider is not connected.

I solved this. It had to do with the sequence of actions on my part.
