Can't open PlateSolve2 settings

If I manually run PlateSolve2.exe from the “C:\Program Files (x86)\Sequence Generator” folder, it solves an image fine. However, if I try to solve from SGP, it fails and falls back to blind solve. If I try to click “settings” in the plate solver settings tab, the hourglass cursor icons shows up for a second, then disappears and nothing happens. The catalogs are correctly set in parameters. As I said, solves fine manually. It seems that SGP is having trouble talking to it.

In the logs it seems to be referring to another version of PlateSolve2.exe in C:\Users\Troy\AppData\Local\SequenceGenerator but if I double click that one, hourglass cursor then nothing.

Any ideas?

Not really… haven’t seen this issue before. Is it possible you are running SGPro with “admin” privileges? How long does the solve take when it works? SGPro will currently only wait 60 seconds.

G’day Ken, I’m running SGP as a user with admin privileges, and that’s the same arrangement as my previous computer that worked fine. Plate solve manually works in seconds.

I’ve uninstalled SGP and reinstalled and PS2 is working fine now. Something must’ve gotten jumbled up and needed a fresh install. I have to re-do all the profiles etc, but at least PS is working.
