Focuser Temperature Dropped Out

Last night I was doing a time-series photometry sequence with SGP in control. I had the equipment profile set up for focus temperature compensation and with autofocus every two degrees. Temperature compensation worked part way through the sequence and then died.

The log showed that after running 36 exposures with good temp compensation, (01/17/18 22:50:29.389),

on the next image SGP reported “ASCOM Focuser: Error in GetTemperature” (01/17/18 22:50:30.300)

Here’s the Dropbox link to the log.

Running…

SGP 2.6.0.25

The focuser controller is by Sharpsky, using PC driver version 1.24 and PIC firmware version 3.5

Win 7 Pro SP1 (Does this mean the issues with the Windows security updates and ASCOM drivers do not apply, or is Win 7 also involved?)

ASCOM Platform 6.3, build 6.0.21573.2300

(This sequence ended prematurely when the mount stopped tracking. ([01/18/18 00:36:15.863). I’m trying to track that down in the SiTech logs.)

I’ve sent some of this to David Trewren, SharpSky developer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim Seargeant

That’s really odd that it threw a Not Implemented when it was working for multiple times previously.

I don’t really have much of an idea. If you have the ASCOM logs they would help.

Thanks,
Jared

Dave Trewren, who developed the SharpSky Pro focus controller that I use, changed his driver to prevent this sort of thing happening.
