Framing & Mosaic images seem very dim

Did something change with the database supporting the Framing & Mosaic Wizard?

It seems that the images, that used to be relatively bright and easy to determine where the nebulosity is, have become very dim.

Is there something I can do on my laptop to get them to be more visible?

No nothing has changed. Check to see if your auto stretch has been disabled. These images are still of the “astro variety” and many require the same stretching yours do in order to be visible
