I’m a brand new SGP user and really starting to like this thing. One of the great features is calculating the total image HFR in the Image Statistics window. I wasn’t able to find a way to calculate it for just a region of the image, though. I find that it can include galaxy cores which throws the overall figure off, or it would be good to just check the central or peripheral regions.
Is this possible?
Thanks,
Gerrit
Hi, there is no such possibility right now.
I post request to developers about focusing on bright object, here: Focusing marker / setting - Feature Requests - Main Sequence Software
It also apply to galaxy cores, like issue that you have.
and here is main topic: Autofocus on bright objects - Auto Focus - Main Sequence Software
Best wishes
Pawel
Thanks, Pawel. I didn’t think about how this could affect autofocus, and that’s a more serious problem. I will post a feature suggestion about this too.
