Ideal exsposure Time!

I am interested in the output on the " Ideal exposure Time " in the image statistics

Can this be only found out on live imaging or can it be related to a existing image , If so how as I can not make it work

Harry - it makes use of the camera statistics, some of which I guess are not stored in the FITS - so if you just loaded an image, I’m assuming it would not know the read noise, which is the key parameter for setting a minimum exposure time.

Ideal exposure is only calculated for data that comes off of the camera… nit for any past images you may have captured.
