I’m not sure I would classify it as “disabling the auto guider” so much as just noting that AutoFlats run either before or after the sequence when the guider is not running. If you are referring the AutoFlats’ ability to export Flat Events to the normal sequence, then I would be interested in seeing logs since recovery from a lost guide star should never trigger for non-light events.
