Hi. I realize that for normal astrophotography, 2000s is a really long exposure, and I typically use subs just long enough to swamp the read noise, 1-2 minutes. But I am trying to do something non-astronomical, namely detecting Cherenkov radiation from the beta decay electrons from a Thallium-204 source. This light is extremely faint, and to get decent statistics, I would like to do multiple hour exposures, with and without the source. I just tried a 7200 second exposure. It threw an error, but then appeared to be counting down normally. But when the time was up, no image was downloaded. ASIStudio and APT can’t do it. Is there a way to bypass this limit in SGP, or does anyone know of a different application that would do this? Thanks.
Edit: I now see that the 2000s limit is set by the camera, not SGP. Stuck. I have a Player One Saturn M (IMX533); same limit: 2000s. Sheesh!
