License verification

I cannot verify my new license
I am getting the following error

Padding is invalid cannot be removed

Any help out there please

Hey Karen,

What do you mean by padding? Try rebooting the computer. If that doesn’t help, open SGP and click ‘Help—>Register this Machine’ You’ll need your account information from there but it should allow you to access what you’ve paid for.

I’m sure Jared or Ken will be along to help too.

Karen,
Make sure you’re not grabbing any of the extra white space around the key that was sent out. If that doesn’t work you can reset your password using the “Forgot your Password” link at the login page:
http://www.mainsequencesoftware.com/Account/Login

From there you should be able to reset your password to something a little more manageable.

I know this is an old thread, didn’t want to start a new one, I am having the same issue here in 2018:

1 - Used the trail version. Liked it and decided to purchase it when the license ran out.
2 - Today I went to setup the sequences for this weekend and the trail had expired.
3 - Purchased the license and added the license key to my account (see attached image “SGPRegPage.JPG”, first image)
4 - Opened SGP and during startup, attempted to add the account information/registration to the popup. Got the “Padding is invalid and cannot be removed” error. (image 2)
5 - “Dismissed” out and got into SGP.
6 - Accessed the Help menu and attempted to register the machine as listed in above reply by mads0100. Same error. (image 3)
7 - Rebooted machine and performed steps 4 through 6 above. Same results.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

What version of SGP are you using? Can you try with 3.0.2.91 if you haven’t?

Once again, thanks Jared. I was on 3.0.2.82, downloaded and installed 3.0.2.91 and was able to register without issue.
