Meridian Flip: How many minutes after crossing the meridian?

Hello.

When it is time for a meridian flip it looks like the clock ticks past the meridian by a couple of minutes, the Run button gets activated, but the flip doesn’t happen. I have not waited past the couple of minutes to see if it eventually does, and typically now just press Run. The last time, It was almost time for a flip when I was prepared to image, so the sequence had not started yet - I wanted to wait until the flip happens before starting the sequence. Could this be a reason?

The automated meridian flip will not run outside of a sequence. SGP doesn’t do any automation outside of a sequence.

Got it, it makes perfect sense: if there is no active target then how do we expect centering, etc, which is part of a flip.
