Other DSLR capture software I use does not require that mirror lock be enabled in the camera, in order for mirror settle delay times to be used.
It would be nice if SGP would also go this route, so the same camera settings could be used across multiple software packages.
I’m guessing the implication is that the Canon SDK gives you access to the mirror, without relying on camera setting and multiple shutter clicks to separate the mirror movement from the shutter firing. That’s a much simpler approach from the user standpoint; ask for mirror settle time, you get it without changing camera settings. No issue if you have zero or non zero, as to SGP operating correctly because the setting doesn’t match camera settings (mirror lock always disabled in cameras).
