I like this extra but everytime I use it, it changes the rotation alignment to some arbitrary figure between 0 and 360 so I always have to reset it to 0 because I have no rotator. Zero would be a good default - surely?
FWIW this is quite minor compared to the other listed problems that I am experiencing (frozen camera downloads).

I think the mosaic wizard uses the latest angle determined by plate solving images during automated centering in an imaging sequence.
Ah! OK, fair enough. I hadn’t noticed that. Mind you, as mentioned, I have no rotator so I always select zero. Maybe I’ll try leaving it unchanged.

Just because you have no rotator it doesn’t mean that you will be at 0 degrees of rotation. Let it plate solve and fill the field in itself. It depends on how your camera is rotated in the focuser.
Yes, I realise that. Before I start imaging after fitting the camera, I always try to adjust it to be close to zero. It usually ends up within 2 - 3 degres of zero.
