New in SGP. Plate solving and mount connection

Hi everybody.

Yesterday I purchased the full version of SGP. I have two questions right now, more in the future for sure lol.

1- I installed PlateSolve2 yet for APT, is it valid? Support saids there is an exclusive version available (needed).
2- My mount is a NEQ6. May I control it directly from SGP with Ascom driver or should I configure EQMod?

Thanks so much.

Regarding 1:
It’s explained in the manual, p. 56: SGP distributes its own version of PlateSolve2. You must download one (or both) of the following catalogs from the PlaneWave website: APM, UCAC3. Once you have installed the catalog(s), you will need to tell SGPro where they are. If the catalogs are already installed (for the version of PlateSolve2 that is used by APT), it might suffice to only tell SGPro where they are.

Thanks Bernd. This part you explain was understood when I have a look at the manual, but i ignored that PlateSolve2 is downloaded within SGP. Solved.

What about mount control?
Thanks in advance.

You can control your mount through ASCOM with SGP. But when using with EQMOD ASCOM there are some things that need to be set. More info here:
