Although I am happy 
to upgrade to the new version of SGP I remain concerned that although I have mostly become OK at using the v2, the facilities ‘solve and centre here’ etc do not work for me - and never have done 
. I believed that these facilities would be brilliant for some activities such as asteroid centring but even when I am spot on target (eg my M1 test a few nights back) the plate solve simply failed despite having every parameter set correctly. In the past I have posted logs but no-one has come up with the reason for repeated failure of the ‘centre here’ option, even when having just done a successful solve. If a bug is not recognised and fixed, then it is going to be the same in v3.
That is my main concern. BTW is there a manual that I can download to read before buying?
