My recent solar imaging sequence went without any errors! However, for interest I selected ‘solve plate’ - not to try to solve an image of the sun but to see whether all parameters were properly transferred to the ‘solve’ window. RA+dec were correctly transferred bu the scale was not, despite being clearly entered into the profile for that camera. Did I overlook something? To re-enter the scale I would have had to refer to my records … Obviously I had no intention of actually proceeding to try to ‘solve’ such an image. Is it possible that this (non-transfer of scale) was caused by me not doing it in realtime but later in the day by way of checks?
