One of the best things invented was the PHD E-Mailer, as it provides a great way to be instantly notified when PHD guiding errors happen. Coupled with the fact that most cellphone services offer E-Mail to text message, it really works nicely.
Last night, my imaging run went into recovery mode, ultimately failing, about half an hour after I went to bed. It would have been really nice if PHD had the ability to send an E-Mail similar to PHD E-Mailer whenever it goes into Recovery Mode for ANY reason. Had it been there, I wouldn’t have lost an entire night of imaging (or at least known why it was having problems).
