Observatory Control Status Delay on V 3.0.2.82

I am using a Home Dome with Digital Dome Works. The sequence connects to the Observatory properly after about 4 1/2 seconds, the same as version 2.6.0.25, but the Azimuth and Shutter values remain at NA for up to a minute before changing to their proper values.,The functions (e.g. open shutter, etc.) appear to work.

The status read from the dome appears to be slowed down mightily and makes it difficult to tell what is happening. Not exactly a deal-breaker but I have been having some trouble with the dome not starting with the sequence and it is confusing the issue. Is there a setting that needs to be changed? Again, it works fine on v 2.6.0.25.

That was a missed side affect of fixing an issue with the dome being polled (and slave position updated) every 0.1 seconds.

For now what you can do is lower the slaving frequency in the dome slaving settings, 5 or 10 seconds is likely adequate. In the next release I’ve adjusted it so that the dome position will be updated every second and the slaving between the dome and the mount will honor the time entered in the slaving settings.
