I’m using latest stable release. When you change the type from dome to roll off, it seems the value it’s not saved. Click on save, close the equipment profile.
Then it says the profile has been changed and if you want to save your changes. Clicking yes or no makes no change.
After that, opening again the equipment profile, dome is again selected.
With this I’m facing the issue that the roof is not opened nor closed on mount park/unpark. No trace about that in the logs, it just connects to ascom driver, and start slewing after starting sequence.
You have to make sure prior to the start of each sequence (every time you load it) that you go into the equipment settings and check the box ‘slave roof to telescope’. If you don’t do that, you’ll get the behavior you’re seeing.
Beyond that, I don’t have this problem. Make sure in your profile you’ve changed it to ROR and that you save that profile to default.
Sorry, I cannot reproduce this issue. I made a new profile, saved it with a dome. Reopened the profile, changed it to ROR, saved the profile. Closed the profile manager, reopened the profile and it was still ROR. Not sure why you are seeing that.
Do I have to manually slave the equipment everytime I load SGP?. That’s on the opposite direction of automation. If I forget to do that, the telescope will hit the roof!.
Yea, it’s been a long argument. The initial issue was the opposite. They wanted you to understand that an interaction could occur if you were tying the two together. Enough people argued the opposite and it should be in the next revision.
