Anyone have success using using an Orion Accufocus through an Shoestring Astronomy FCUSB?

It depends on the FCUSB. Sgp requires an absolute focuser, most DC motor focuses don’t fit this (they are relative) , however some expose themselves as an absolute focuser and those will work.

It really depends on the ASCOM focuser driver.

Hi,

I have a Skywatcher electronic focuser with a Shoestring FCUSB unit driving it. the newest Shoestring driver allows you to select either relative or absolute focusing. SGP recognises the focuser when absolute is chosen, but the focuser only ever moves outward, regardless of which direction button is clicked.

Any suggestions?
