Plate Solve Delay of Movement

Hi!
Is there a way of delaying the taking of validation frames when doing a plate solve?

I slew to the approximate position of an object and then use ASTAP and the “Center now” option for the object. The first attempt to plate solve is based on a picture which is taken when the scope, in this case on an EQ6R mount, is still, and the plate solve works well. However normally the centering of the mount by the “Slew now” is failing from the correct position with some pixel amount, so the mount is automatically moved by SGP to correct for that and a second validation frame is taken.

The problem is that this frame is taken before the mount has settled in the corrected position, resulting in star trails, which makes the attempt to plate solve fail. I saw that there has been a feature request to make the delay between plate solve frame adjustable some years ago. Has this function been implemented and can I in some way make the time before the plate solve frame is taken longer?

The mount “settle time” setting is for this exact situation.
I am not on my PC right now and don’t remember where that setting is, but I would start off looking in the Telescope section of the Control Panel.
Don’t forget to also change it in the Equipment Profile.

Thank you Eric for this advice. I will try it as soon as I get a clear night here again.
