I am using SGP since half a year now, and I extremely like it.
In my last sessions, I noticed a strange behavior. When I set up my equipment and tried to sync my mount, nothing happens. The strange thing is that I can manually take an image and plate solve it quickly using the same parameters which I use for sync. But sync always runs for an infinite duration.
When I then close SGP, power-off my mount, and then restart everything, everything works well. Plate solve and sync quickly yield the desired result.
So… this behavior is a little unusual. It is not so nice since I have to restart, and thus to reconnect the camera/mount and again start the (slow) cooling process. Does anyone here know why this sync issue happens and what I can do to fix or avoid this behavior?
Just some side notes. I am using a CEM70 mount and an ASI2600MC camera. SGP3.x (latest update of version 3) on a mini-PC. I connect all my equipment though ASCOM 6.4 SP1. I use ASTAP for plate solving or anserv for blind solve. My main solver is ASTAP.
Would really be great to get some help.
