Truth be told, I’m not having very good luck with your software. After having solved the problem of profiles not appearing (I updated and they appeared immediately) and having been working for a few days without any problem, it is not working correctly again. I will now explain what is happening to me.
I double-click on the program shortcut and it starts loading but it doesn’t finish (it stays in the “establishing orbit” section) I leave it for a few seconds but nothing happens.
I open a task manager and I see the following.
and it does nothing else, it stays there, I try to open a second instance of SGP but the same thing happens, it stays stuck at the same point so I think the problem is the splashform routine but I don’t know what to do or how to continue.
These problems you experience may actually be related as both stem from corrupted data that SGPro depends upon. There are a few different reasons that SGPro might hang on startup. We capture and display errors for all that we can and there are a few left over that simply do not return control to SGPro so that we can do anything useful.
For these conditions, we have created a troubleshooting checklist starting with least invasive changes and progressing from there.
SGPro 4.5 beta also performs a few different data migrations for both profiles and sequences in order to support new features. SGPro 4.5 is still beta and there is a chance that we may have missed an aspect of migrations that resulted in this issue.
